At the recently concluded Met Gala 2022, the Metropolitan Museum of Art paid a historic tribute to heavily pregnant singer Rihanna.
Despite the fact that she did not attend the prestigious fashion event
because she is due to give birth at any moment,
the singer stole the show on fashion’s biggest night.
The Met Museum’s organizers honored her legendary fashion styles
with a pregnant statue of her at the Met Museum.
The sculpted image was inspired by her cover spread in Vogue Magazine’s May issue,
where she posed in a sheer catsuit with her baby bump
and shared an exclusive on her pregnancy journey.
Well-known for her unconventional maternity style,
she has made several public appearances while sporting her baby bump.
Rihanna took to Instagram to thank the Met Museum team
and Vogue Magazine, which organizes the annual Met Gala. See post below;
She also shared a video of the statue alongside
an appreciation post on her Instagram.
She wrote: “Shut down the met in marble! what’s more
gilded than that? Lol! Thank you for this historic tribute! y’all bad for this one.”
