The Federal University, Dustin-ma, Katsina State, has suspended four students indefinitely over alleged membership of a secret cult.

The affected students are Peter Enajo (MSc Sociology), Lukman Aminu (BSc Computer Science), Musa Halidu (BSc Sociology), and Maikosa Victor Lawal (BSc Sociology).

Prof. Armayau Bichi, the institution’s Vice-Chancellor, Okayed the suspension centered on a report submitted to him by Tanimu Atiku, the Chief Security Officer, on the activities of the affected students.

The suspension was contained in a special bulletin issued by Habibu Matazu,   the institutions acting Director, Public Relations and Protocol.

The bulletin, which was issued on Tuesday, added, “The vice-chancellor strongly warned students at all levels to desist from all forms of cultism and other social vices

“The vice-chancellor reiterated that the management would not relent in dealing decisively with any member of the institution found to be involved in cultism.”

None of the affected students could be reached for comments as of press time.
