Gov Election 2023: Osinbajo, Atiku’s former aide perform well in Ogun

Prof.-Yemi-Osinbajo

Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, the vice president, and Segun Sowunmi, a former spokesman for the Atiku Abubakar Campaign Organization, have praised the Independent National Electoral Commission for the Ogun State election process.

The current governorship and state assembly elections, according to Osinbajo, who voted at Polling Unit 14, Egunrege Ward 1, Ikenne in Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun State, are going extremely smoothly and well.

He claimed to have seen that voters had no trouble casting their ballots.

The Vice President arrived at the voting location around 10:31 am with his wife, Dolapo, and cast his ballot around 10:36 am.

Sowunmi expressed his satisfaction with the electoral process in Abeokuta-South after casting his ballot in Polling Unit 4, Ward 6, Itoko.

The accreditation process has gone relatively smoothly, and as many people as possible have participated. Accordingly, he said, “What we are hoping for is that as the process was advertised and made known to us, that things (results) would be transmitted to the INEC Result Viewing portal and to the portal in Abuja.

“The reality is that once voting has taken place at the polling place, people have expectations about how well the election will be run; at least from what I can see, BVAS is functioning well, accreditation is ongoing, we have done our part, let those in charge of counting the votes and transmitting the results do their own part,” the statement reads.
