EKITI AND KADUNA STATE ORDER 50 PERCENT SLASH OF POLITICAL OFFICE HOLDERS SALARY

The Ekiti State Government has ordered the reduction of salaries of all political office holders  by 50 per cent.

According to the state Governor, Fayemi Kayode  the funds retrieved from this slash would help the state deliver more developmental projects for the state especially with regards to the fight against covid19

Also in  Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has ordered 50 per cent salary slash for political appointees in the state.

The governor directed all Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries, Special Advisers, Head of Agencies and all senior government appointees to donate 50 percent of their salaries to the fight against COVID-19 in the state.

Although these orders have been stipulated by the Two State governors, there are speculations that they may not be implemented eventually.
