Boko Haram terrorists killed at least 30 people and abducted many women and children in a raid in Borno State, report says.

News naija gathered that the passengers who were on their way  to Maiduguri were attacked around 10pm on Sunday.

They had stopped over at Auno as a result of the blockade of the road into the state capital, according to residents.
Dogo Shettima, an aide to Babagana Zulum, governor of Borno state, said the insurgents burnt about 18 vehicles during the attack and killed at least 30persons.

The insurgents were said to have  stormed in on trucks mounted with heavy weapons, killing, burning and looting before kidnapping women and children, state government spokesman Ahmad Abdurrahman Bundi said.

The attack which occurred about 25kilometers west of Maiduguri is an area that the Islamic State West Africa Province ISWAP have been actively terrorising civilians, mounting road blocks to also target security forces.

Prior to this attack the Federal Goverement had ordered the release of 1400 acclaimed repentant  BOKO HARAM fighters back into the society after the competition of their rehabilitation exercise.
