the family home of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Omididun Street, was on Wednesday, set ablaze by Irate youths, throwing stones at the house.
Earlier, the Governor had declared a curfew on the state due to the #EndSARS protests. Soldiers were afterward called in which led to the deaths of at least seventy persons, mostly youths.
Eyewitnesses told NEWS NAIJA that one of the youths holding a jerry can full of petrol was seen soaking the house in petrol but was immediately stopped by those living in the area for fear that the fire could spread uncontrollably and lead to loss of lives.
However, Moments after, the youths succeeded in burning down the house.
It was gathered that policemen attached to the Adeniji Adele Police Station had raced to the scene in a bid to calm the violence.
